Better page sitemap for Rank Tracker#290

Maybe I am just not using it correctly, but I don’t find adding pages and keywords together for the rank tracker very intuitive.

It is much more effective to have keywords mapped to specific pages. Its not so straightforward to do this in the rank tracker.

The data is already all there, so would be much better to be able to see a keyword query in GSC data and from there add that keyword, with it being mapped to the correct url, by ticking a checkbox, rather than having to do it all manaully through settings.

I should have added that also, when adding keywords via gsc, it should show you the url of the page that ranks for that keyword, and automatically ask if you want to map it to that url

@Oak Cassidy feature in settings should exist, because often people add keywords they don’t have in Search Console yet, and they don’t rank yet.

We are developing now a better version of keyword research based on Search Console data. Below is the screenshot how it will look like. I will investigate how we can improve the quick adding of keywords with target URL from this tool in the 2nd iteration.

@Oak Cassidy by the way, did you try this feature in the Rank Tracker?

when you choose keywords you are able to set up target url and group for them without leaving out the report.

Hi @Ivan Palii yes i have tried that feature. But first, if its not a new keyword, you still have to know if its ranking on any pages first, then you have to have already added that url to the sitechecker rank tracker, otherwise you cannot choose it in the drop down, or search for it, it only shows pages you have already added to the rank tracker.. its all very manual, when the data is already there in sitechecker.

For example, anonther tool i use, you can see all pages on your site, you can choose any page easily, it then automatically shows you all current keywords it ranks for in gsc. You click which ones you want to map to the url and thats it, its now tracking those keywords to that page…. really easy and extremly useful
